Narendra Modi beats Vajpayee, Nehru, Indira to emerge best ever PM in India Today survey : IndiaToday

Narendra Modi has been voted as the best ever Prime Minister of India in the India Today Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll. The poll reflects the sentiments of people as of July 2018. The popularity of Narendra Modi as the prime minister has declined a little over the last MOTN survey conducted in January this year but he remains the best among all the prime ministers the country has had.

Narendra Modi received 26 per cent vote in the July MOTN survey followed by Indira Gandhi, who got 20 per cent vote of 12,100 participants. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who died on August 16 after a prolonged illness in New Delhi, was voted as the third best prime minister ahead of Jawaharlal Nehru, who got 10 per cent votes. Vajpayee got 12 per cent votes in the MOTN survey.

HD Deve Gowda and PV Narsimha Rao are the ones occupying the bottom of the table. Deve Gowda and Rao along with Chandrashekhar and VP received one per cent vote each.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity as the best ever person in the chair has consistently declined since July 2017, when he got 33 per cent votes. He got 28 per cent votes in January 2018 MOTN poll. His popularity chart saw an upward trend between February 2016 and July 2017 over four MOTN polls.

In February 2016, Modi received 14 per cent votes followed by 17 per cent in August 2016, 30 per cent in January 2017 and 33 per cent in July 2017. Indira Gandhi's popularity as the best ever prime minister declined correspondingly over the same period.

Indira Gandhi had received 26 per cent vote in February 2016 followed by 23 per cent in August 2016, 18 per cent in January 2017 and 17 per cent July 2017 before picking up to 20 per cent in both January 2018 and July 2018 MOTN polls.

Among Hindu voters, Narendra Modi remains the first choice as the best prime minister followed by Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A total of 28 per cent Hindu voters favoured Narendra Modi. However, only 11 per cent Muslims voted Narendra Modi as the best ever prime minister while 26 per cent supported Indira Gandhi.

Of the four broad regions of the country, Narendra Modi is the most favoured choice as a prime minister in North India and East India, remains joint-first choice with Indira Gandhi in West India and trails by three per cent in South India. Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the third choice in all the four regions.

Qualities of Narendra Modi Which Make Him the Best Prime Minister : Media Reports : 21/08/2018

Narendra Damodardas Modi, a well-known name in India who with his positive leadership qualities has taken the progress of the country to a new level. Modi worked as a saviour of India, which was plundered by socialism and corruption. He is undeniably regarded as the “bhai” of Indian politics. Here we mention MANY EXCEMPLARY qualities of NaMo which make him the best prime minister India ever had:

1.Public speaking skills :-
Loads of research is a prerequisite when you have to deliver a speech as a large mass of people has gathered to hear and learn from you. This quality is well observed in our prime minister. Even his criticisers claim not to miss any speech from him as it leaves them spellbound. It is not because someone write his speeches but because of good oratory skills the man possess. “Refer to your Google guru. Get enrolled in public speaking courses there; try youtube, which also has similar programs,” he said in an interview on teachers day.

2. Discipline :-
This is one thing which everyone should learn and realize from him. From the days of being a balswayam sevak in RSS to now as being the prime minister of India, Modi has never left his discipline regimen. Modi proves that he has no tolerance for laid-back attitude, and he wants all his cabinet ministers on toes for the progress of the country.

3. Love For Technology :-
Modi is a tech savvy and is updated about all the minor and major issues prevailing at the national and international level. He is active on social media platforms and keep updating his daily happenings and decisions through his Facebook posts and tweets. He is not a slave of technology but a lover of tech which makes him the most famous prime minister amongst the youth.

4. Leadership :-
Narendra Modi’s journey from a chai wala at Gujarat platform to making his residence at 7, Race Course Road defines a lot about his leadership qualities. He appreciates those who work hard by monitoring their performance on day to day basis. Modi sets an example for his ministers during times of uncertainty and provides reassurance to them.

5. Detailing :-
Narendra Modi strongly believes in detailing each and everything in the interest of people. During Lok Sabha election campaign, Modi travelled more than 3.5 lakhs kms and did 400 rallies. He detailed his vision clearly and May 16 result was the outcome of his hard work.

6. Fitness :-
Modi is a big yoga lover and never forgets to practice it on a daily basis, no matter how busy he is.
Yoga is the reason why he is so active even at 64.
Also, it was because of Modi's efforts that United Nations decided  to celebrate World Yoga Day on June 21 every year.

7. Enthusiasm :-
At the age of 64, passion and dedication of Narendra Modi are worth mentioning. He plays drums in Japan and answers questions in interviews with confidence and vigour. He becomes a source of inspiration and motivation for his team members which draws the trust out of them and encourage them to work harder to achieve their targets.

8. Patience :-
A man who leads the country must possess patience and not jump like a kid before making any decision. A full proof planning and homework are required to give a conclusion. A good leader should not be overpowered by emotions or be impulsive or get angry at pitty things. Narendra Modi is calm and composed and does not let the storms and crises affect him.

9. Determination :-
With clear vision and focus, this chai wala was determined to achieve something commendable in life. His hard work and charismatic personality made his dreams come true. He has an exemplary character and is always committed to excellence.

10. Humbleness :-
He is a very humble human being and this is evident by the way he addresses the nation and answers all the questions.

He says that he is not a Prime Minister, but a 'pradhan sevak'. This signifies his humble approach towards 125 crore Indians.

11. Simplicity : -
Coming from simple family this quality is automatic instilled in him. Also he is aware of problems people have in villages like the toilet building and providing subsidy on building toilet is one major step. Simple and small observation but very much req for health. Another policy is Swach Bharat Abhiyaan related to cleanliness.

12. Hardworking : -
He has worked really hard to become PM. He used to go for 5 to 6 rallies everyday. He has done a lot of hardwork not only for becoming PM but also after being the PM.

13. Open to different views : -
While being in opposition he had different views on FDI, GSI etc etc but when he came to power when he understood the things he did not be arogant and stubborn. but immediately changed his mind and allowed it. Some people might say as double standards but i think that is negative word if u try to give it a positive term it would be open to different views

14. Punctuality : -
He is very punctual and as said dictator(in positive means) expect everyone to be punctual. It was his govt when we could go to sarkari offices and expect the staff present and working at 9:30 am also. Never imagined this could be possible.

15. Innovative : -
Innovation comes only if you are ready to be dynamic both in mind as well as in actions. He is interested in modern technology world. Digital India campaign is one such example. Moreover we saw many dept on govt have got their accounts on twitter and various problems are even solved online.

16. Feeling of proud personality : -
The whole world has bowed down their head in front of Modi. This is highest level of respect that our nation has gained.
