आज चारों तरफ देश में गणेश उत्‍सव की धूम चल रही है। इस पावन काल में आप सभी के नए जीवन का श्री गणेश हो रहा है। भगवान गणेश सिद्धि के देवता हैं। मेरी कामना है कि आपकी सेवाओं का संकल्प, राष्ट्र के लक्ष्यों को सिद्धि तक ले जाए।

साथियों,

आज ह0मारा देश ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धियों और फैसलों का साक्षी बन रहा है। कुछ दिन पहले ही नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम के रूप में देश की आधी आबादी को बहुत बड़ी ताकत मिली है। 30 वर्षों से महिला आरक्षण का जो विषय लंबित था, वो अब रिकॉर्ड वोटों के साथ दोनों सदनों से पास हुआ है।

आप कल्पना कीजिए कि ये कितनी बड़ी उपलब्धि है। ये मांग तब से हो रही थी, जब आप लोगों में से ज्यादातर लोगों का जन्म भी नहीं हुआ होगा। ये निर्णय देश की नई संसद के पहले सत्र में हुआ है। एक तरह से नई संसद में, देश के नए भविष्य की शुरुआत हुई है।

साथियों,

आज इस रोजगार मेले में भी हमारी बेटियों को बड़ी संख्या में नियुक्ति पत्र मिले हैं। आज भारत की बेटियां Space से Sports तक अनेक नए कीर्तिमान बना रही हैं। मुझे नारी शक्ति की इस सफलता पर बहुत-बहुत गौरव होता है। सरकार की नीति भी यही है कि नारी शक्ति के लिए नए-नए द्वार खोले जाएं। हमारी बेटियां अब देश के सशस्त्र बलों में कमीशन लेकर राष्ट्र सेवा के रास्ते पर आगे बढ़ रही हैं। हम सभी का अनुभव है कि नारी शक्ति ने हमेशा नई ऊर्जा के साथ हर क्षेत्र में बदलाव किया है। हमारी आधी आबादी के लिए सरकार का सुशासन, इसके लिए आपको नए Ideas पर काम करना चाहिए।

साथियों,

आज 21वीं सदी के भारत की आकांक्षाएं बहुत ऊंची हैं, हमारे समाज की, सरकार से अपेक्षाएं बहुत ज्यादा हैं। आप खुद देख रहे हैं कि ये नया भारत आज क्या कमाल कर रहा है है। ये वो भारत है जिसने कुछ दिनों पहले चंद्रमा पर अपना तिरंगा लहराया है।  इस नए भारत के सपने बहुत ऊंचे हैं।  देश ने 2047 तक विकसित भारत बनने का संकल्प लिया है।

अगले कुछ वर्षों में हम तीसरी सबसे बड़ी Economy बनने वाले हैं। आज जब देश में इतना कुछ हो रहा है तो उसमें हर सरकारी कर्मचारी की भूमिका बहुत ज्यादा बढ़ने वाली है। आपको हमेशा Citizen First की भावना से काम करना है। आप तो एक ऐसी Generation का हिस्सा हैं, जो Technology के साथ बड़ी हुई है। जो Gadgets आपके Parents मुश्किल से ऑपरेट कर पाते हैं, आप ने खिलौनों की तरह उनका इस्तेमाल किया है।

Technology से इस सहजता को अब आप को अपने कार्यक्षेत्र में इस्तेमाल करना है। हमें सोचना होगा कि हम Governance में भी Technology की मदद से कैसे नया सुधार कर सकते हैं? आपको देखना होगा कि अपने अपने क्षेत्रों में आप कैसे Technology के जरिए Efficiency को और Improve कर सकते हैं?

साथियों,

Technological Transformation से Governance कैसे आसान होती है, आप ने बीते 9 सालों में देखा है। पहले रेल की टिकट लेने के लिए Booking Counters पर लाइन लगती थी। Technology ने ये मुश्किल आसान कर दी। आधार कार्ड, Digital Locker और E-KYC ने Documentation की Complexity खत्म कर दी। गैस Cylinder की Booking से लेकर Electricity Bills के Payment तक सब अब App पर होने लगा है। DBT के जरिए सरकारी योजनाओं का पैसा सीधे लोगों के अकाउंट में पहुंच रहा है। Digi Yatra से हमारा आना-जाना आसान हुआ है। यानी Technology से Corruption घटा है, Credibility बढ़ी है, Complexity घटी है, Comfort बढ़ा है।

आपको इस दिशा में और ज्यादा से ज्यादा काम करना है। गरीबों की हर जरूरत, सरकार का हर काम, Technology के जरिए कैसे और आसान होगा, आपको इस काम के लिए नए-नए तरीके ढूंढने हैं, Innovative तरीके ढूंढने हैं, और उसे आगे भी बढाना होगा।

साथियों,

पिछले 9 वर्षों में हमारी Policies ने बड़े से बड़ा लक्ष्य हासिल करने का रास्ता तैयार किया है। हमारी नीतियां नए Mindset, Constant Monitoring, Mission Mode Implementation और Mass Participation पर आधारित हैं। 9 वर्षों में सरकार ने Mission mode पर नीतियों को लागू किया है। चाहे स्वच्छ भारत हो, या जल जीवन मिशन, इन सभी योजनाओं में 100 Percent Saturation के लक्ष्य पर काम किया जा रहा है। सरकार के हर स्तर पर Schemes की Monitoring हो रही है।

खुद मैं भी प्रगति Platform के द्वारा Projects की Progress पर नजर रखता हूं। इन प्रयासों के बीच, केंद्र सरकार की योजनाओं को जमीन पर उतारने की सबसे बड़ी जिम्मेदारी आप सभी नव-नियुक्त सरकारी कर्मचारियों पर है। जब आप जैसे लाखों युवा सरकारी सेवाओं से जुड़ते हैं तो नीतियों को लागू करने की Speed और Scale भी बढ़ जाती है। इससे सरकार के बाहर भी रोजगार के अवसर तैयार होते हैं। साथ-साथ कामकाज की नई व्यवस्था भी बनती है।

साथियों,

वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में मुश्किलों के बीच आज भारत की GDP तेजी से बढ़ रही है, हमारे Production और Export दोनों में बड़ी वृद्धि हुई है। देश आज अपने आधुनिक Infrastructure पर जितना निवेश कर रहा है, वो पहले कभी नहीं किया गया। आज देश में नए-नए Sectors का विस्तार हो रहा है। आज Renewable Energy, Organic Farming, Defence और पर्यटन समेत कई सेक्टरों में अभूतपूर्व तेजी दिख रही है।

Mobile Phone से Aircraft Carrier तक, Corona Vaccine से Fighter Jets तक भारत के आत्मनिर्भर अभियान की ताकत सबके सामने है। ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि 2025 तक अकेले भारत की Space Economy ही 60 हजार करोड़ से बड़ी हो जाएगी। यानी आज देश के युवाओं के लिए लगातार नए नए अवसर बन रहे हैं, रोजगार की नई संभावनाएं बन रही हैं।

साथियों,

आजादी के अमृतकाल में अगले 25 साल जितने अहम हैं, उतना ही आपका अगले 25 साल का करियर अहम है। आपको टीम वर्क को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देनी है। आपने देखा है, इसी महीने इस देश में G20 बैठकों का सफल आयोजन पूरा हुआ है। दिल्ली समेत देश के 60 शहरों में 200 से ज्यादा बैठकें आयोजित की गईं।

इस दौरान विदेशी मेहमानों ने हमारे देश की विविधता के रंग देखे। G20 हमारी परंपरा, संकल्प और आतिथ्य भावना का आयोजन बना। G20 समिट की सफलता भी Public और Private Sector के अलग-अलग विभागों की सफलता है। सभी ने इस आयोजन के लिए एक टीम के रूप में काम किया। मुझे खुशी है कि आज आप भी सरकारी कर्मचारियों की Team India का हिस्सा बनने जा रहे हैं।

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing today. The recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments including Department of Posts, Indian Audit & Accounts Department, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare among others. The Rozgar Mela is taking place at 46 locations across the country.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister congratulated those who received their appointment letters today. He remarked that they are here due to their hard work and dedication and they have been selected from a pool of millions of candidates. Noting the festivities of Ganesh Utsav across the country, the Prime Minister said that it is the ‘Shri Ganesh’ of a new life for the appointees during this auspicious occasion. “Lord Ganesh is the God of accomplishments”, the Prime Minister said as he expressed confidence that the devotion of the recruits towards service will enable the country to accomplish its goals.

The Prime Minister said that the country is bearing witness to historic achievements. He mentioned the Narishakti Vandan Adhiniyam which has empowered half of the population. “Women reservation issue which was stuck for 30 years, has passed by both the houses with record votes. This decision took place in the first session of the new Parliament, in a way, it is a new beginning for the nation in the new Parliament”, Prime Minister Modi emphasized.

Acknowledging the significant presence of women among the new recruits, the Prime Minister said that daughters of the country are making a name in every sector. “I feel immense pride in the achievement of the Narishakti and it is the policy of the government to keep opening new avenues for their growth”, he said. The Prime Minister noted that the presence of women in any sector has always led to positive changes in every sector.

Referring to the soaring aspirations of the New India, the Prime Minister said that the dreams of this New India are lofty. “India has taken the resolve to become Viksit Bharat by 2047”, the Prime Minister remarked. He underlined that in the next few years, the nation will become the third-largest economy in the world where the government employees will have a lot to contribute in the coming times. He emphasized that they follow the approach of ‘Citizens First. Noting that today’s recruits grew up with technology, the Prime Minister stressed making use of it in their field of work and improving the efficiency of governance.

Further elaborating on the usage of technology in governance, the Prime Minister mentioned online railway reservations, the elimination of complexity of documentation by Aadhar Card, Digilocker, eKYC, gas booking, bill payments, DBT, and Digiyatra. “Technology has stopped corruption, improved credibility, reduced complexity, increased comfort,” said the Prime Minister, urging the new recruits to work further in this direction.

In the last 9 years, the Prime Minister said that the policies of the government are based upon a new mindset, constant monitoring, mission mode implementation and mass participation, and have paved the way to accomplish monumental goals. Giving examples of campaigns like Swacch Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission, the Prime Minister highlighted the mission mode implementation approach of the government where efforts are being made to achieve saturation. He also informed that projects all across the country are being constantly monitored and gave the example of the Pragati Platform, which is being used by the Prime Minister himself. He emphasized that it is the government employees who shoulder the highest responsibility of implementing the government schemes on the ground level. He noted that the speed and scale of the policy implementation get a boost when lakhs of youth join government services, thereby leading to a boost in employment outside the government sector and the establishment of new employment frameworks.

Talking about GDP growth and the jump in production and exports, the Prime Minister mentioned the unprecedented investment in modern infrastructure. He talked about sectors like renewable energy, organic farming, defence and tourism that are showing a new vibrancy. India’s Aatmnirbhar Abhiyan is showing results in areas ranging from mobile phones to aircraft carriers, from corona vaccine to fighter jets. He said today, new opportunities are emerging for the youth.

The Prime Minister reiterated the importance of the next 25 years of Amrit Kaal in the lives of the country and the new recruits. He asked them to give the highest priority to teamwork. The Prime Minister said that the G20 became an event of our tradition, resolution and hospitality. This success is also the success of various public and private departments. Everyone worked as a team for the success of G20. “I am happy that today you too are becoming part of Team India of the government employees”, Prime Minister Modi said.

Noting that the recruits have an opportunity to work directly with the government, the Prime Minister urged them to continue their journey of learning and make use of iGOT Karmyogi Portal to further their knowledge in their areas of interest. Concluding the address, the Prime Minister congratulated the appointees and their families and urged them to take the resolve of a developed nation in the next 25 years.

Background

The Rozgar Mela was held at 46 locations across the country. The recruitments are occurring across Central Government Departments and State Governments/UTs supporting this initiative. The recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments including the Department of Posts, the Indian Audit & Accounts Department, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare among others.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 680 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the G20 University Connect Finale programme on 26th September 2023 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi at about 4 PM.

The G20 Jan Bhagidari movement saw a record participation of more than 5 crore youth from different schools, higher education institutions and skill development institutes from across the country. The G20 University Connect initiative was undertaken with an aim to build the understanding of India’s G20 Presidency among India’s youth and enhance their participation in the different G20 events. The programme engaged over 1 lakh students from universities across India. Initially planned for 75 universities to commemorate India's 75 years of independence, the initiative eventually expanded its reach to 101 universities across India.

Several programmes were held across the country under the G-20 University Connect initiative. They witnessed extensive participation from higher education institutions. Further. what initially began as a programme for universities quickly grew to include schools and colleges, reaching an even wider audience.

The G20 University Connect Finale will be attended at the event venue by about 3000 students, faculty members, and Vice Chancellors of the participating Universities. In addition, students from across the country will also be joining the event Live.
