Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the Sufi music festival, Jahan-e-Khusro 2025, today, at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi.

Addressing the gathering at Jahan-e-Khusro, Prime Minister said that it was natural to feel elated in the presence of the rich legacy of Hazrat Amir Khusro. He noted that the essence of the Spring season, which Khusro was so fond of, is not just the season but is also present in the air of Jahan-e-Khusro today in Delhi.

Shri Modi emphasized the significance of events like Jahan-e-Khusro for the country’s art and culture, stating they provide both importance and tranquility. He highlighted that the event, now completing 25 years, has earned a prominent place in people’s hearts, marking it as a major achievement. The Prime Minister congratulated Dr. Karan Singh, Muzaffar Ali, Meera Ali, and other collaborators for their contributions. He wished the Rumi Foundation and all associated with Jahan-e-Khusro continued success in the future. On the occasion, the Prime Minister also extended his Ramadan greetings to all attendees and citizens of the country, as the holy month approaches. Shri Modi recalled the contribution of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, whose efforts in enhancing the Sunder nursery have been a blessing for millions of art enthusiasts.

The Prime Minister spoke about the significant role of Sarkhej Roza in Gujarat’s Sufi tradition. He highlighted that, in the past, the condition of the site had deteriorated, but as Chief Minister, he focused on its restoration. The Prime Minister also recalled the time when Sarkhej Roza hosted grand Krishna Utsav celebrations, which were well-attended. He mentioned that even today, the essence of Krishna devotion is present in the atmosphere. “I used to regularly participate in the annual Sufi music festival held at Sarkhej Roza”, Shri Modi shared. “Sufi music represents a shared heritage that unites people from all walks of life. The performance of Nazre Krishna also reflected this shared cultural legacy”, Shri Modi emphasized.

The Prime Minister remarked that the Jahan-e-Khusro event carries a unique fragrance, representing the soil of India. He recalled how Hazrat Amir Khusro compared India to paradise, describing the country as a garden of civilization where every aspect of culture has flourished. “The soil of India has a unique character, and when the Sufi tradition arrived here, it found a connection with the land. The spiritual teachings of Baba Farid, the love ignited by Hazrat Nizamuddin’s gatherings, and the new gems created by Hazrat Amir Khusro’s verses, which collectively embody the essence of India’s rich cultural legacy”, Shri Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister emphasized the unique identity of the Sufi tradition in India, where Sufi saints blended Quranic teachings with Vedic principles and devotional music. He praised Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya for expressing unity in diversity through his Sufi songs. “Jahan-e-Khusro has now become a modern reflection of this rich, inclusive tradition”, Shri Modi stated.

Shri Modi highlighted that the civilization and culture of any country get their voice from its music and songs. “When Sufi and classical music traditions merged, they gave birth to new expressions of love and devotion, evident in the qawwalis of Hazrat Khusro, the verses of Baba Farid, the poetry of Bullah Shah, Mir, Kabir, Rahim, and Ras Khan. These saints and mystics gave a new dimension to devotion”, he added.

Shri Modi noted that whether one reads Surdas, Rahim, Ras Khan, or listens to Hazrat Khusro, all these expressions lead to the same spiritual love, where human limitations are transcended, and the union between man and God is felt. “Ras Khan, despite being Muslim, was a devoted follower of Lord Krishna, reflecting the universal nature of love and devotion, as expressed in his poetry. The grand performance at the event also reflected this deep sense of spiritual love”, Shri Modi underscored.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the Sufi tradition has not only bridged the spiritual distances among humans but also reduced the gaps between nations. He recalled his visit to the Afghan Parliament in 2015, where he spoke emotionally about Rumi, who was born in Balkh, Afghanistan, eight centuries ago. Shri Modi shared Rumi’s thought that transcends geographical boundaries: “I am neither from the East nor the West, I am not born from the sea nor the land, I have no place, I am everywhere.” The Prime Minister connected this philosophy to India’s ancient belief in “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family), drawing strength from such thoughts during his global engagements. Shri Modi also recalled reading a couplet by Mirza Ghalib during a joint press conference in Iran, reflecting India’s universal and inclusive values.

Shri Modi spoke about Hazrat Amir Khusro, who is famously known as the ‘Tuti-e-Hind’. He highlighted that in his works, Khusro praised India’s greatness and charm, as seen in his book Nuh-Siphr. The Prime Minister emphasized that Khusro regarded India as superior to the great nations of his time and considered Sanskrit the best language in the world. Shri Modi acknowledged that Khusro respected Indians as being greater than the greatest scholars.“Khusro also took pride in how India’s knowledge of zero, mathematics, science, and philosophy spread to the rest of the world, especially how Indian mathematics reached the Arabs and became known as “Hindsa.”, Shri Modi noted. The Prime Minister further pointed out that despite the long period of colonial rule and the devastation that followed, Hazrat Khusro’s writings played a significant role in preserving India’s rich past and keeping its legacy alive.

The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the efforts of Jahan-e-Khusro, which has been successfully promoting and enriching India’s cultural heritage for 25 years. Shri Modi acknowledged that maintaining this initiative for a quarter of a century is no small feat. Prime Minister Shri Modi concluded his address by extending his gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy the celebration and expressing his heartfelt appreciation for everyone involved with the event.

The Prime Minister has been a strong proponent of promoting the diverse art and culture of the country. In line with this, he will participate in Jahan-e-Khusro which is an international Festival dedicated to Sufi music, poetry, and dance. It is bringing together artists from across the world to celebrate the legacy of Amir Khusro. Organized by the Rumi Foundation, the Festival, started by renowned filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali in 2001, will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year and is being held from 28th February to 2nd March.

कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित डॉ. कर्ण सिंह जी, मुजफ्फर अली जी, मीरा अली जी, अन्य महानुभाव, देवियों और सज्जनों!

आज जहान-ए-खुसरो में आकर मन खुश होना बहुत स्वाभाविक है। हजरत अमीर खुसरो जिस बसंत के दीवाने थे, वो बसंत आज यहां दिल्‍ली में मौसम है ही नहीं, बल्कि जहान-ए-खुसरो की इस आबोहवा में भी घुला हुआ है। हजरत खुसरो के शब्दों में कहे तो-

सकल बन फूल रही सरसों, सकल बन फूल रही सरसों,

अम्बवा फूटे टेसू फूले, कोयल बोले डार-डार…

यहां माहौल वाकई कुछ ऐसा ही है। यहां महफिल में आने से पहले अभी मुझे तह बाजार घूमने का मौका मिला। उसके बाद बाग़-ए-फिरदौस में कुछ साथियों से भी अलब-दलब दुआ सलाम हुई। अभी नजर-ए-कृष्णा और जो विभिन्न आयोजन हुए, असुविधा के बीच कलाकार के लिए माइक की अपनी एक ताकत होती है, लेकिन उसके बाद भी प्रकृति के सहारे उन्होंने जो कुछ भी प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास किया, शायद उनको भी थोड़ी निराशा हुई होगी। जो लोग इस आनंद को पाने के लिए आए थे, उनको भी शायद निराशा हुई होगी। लेकिन कभी-कभी ऐसे अवसर भी जीवन में बहुत कुछ सीख देकर के जाते हैं। मैं मानता हूं आज की अवसर भी हमें सीख देकर के जाएगा।

साथियों,

ऐसे मौके देश की कला-संस्कृति के लिए तो जरूरी होते ही हैं, इनमें एक सुकून भी मिलता है। जहान-ए-खुसरो का ये सिलसिला अपने 25 साल भी पूरे कर रहा है। इन 25 वर्षों में इस आयोजन का लोगों के जेहन में जगह बना लेना, ये अपने आप में इसकी सबसे बड़ी कामयाबी है। मैं डॉ. कर्ण सिंह जी, मित्र मुजफ्फर अली जी, बहन मीरा अली जी और अन्य सहयोगियों को इसके लिए बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं। जहान-ए-खुसरो का ये गुलदस्ता इसी तरह खिलता रहे, मैं इसके लिए रूमी फाउंडेशन को और आप सभी को बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं देता हूं। रमज़ान का मुबारक महीना भी शुरू होने वाला है। मैं आप सभी को और सभी देशवासियों को रमज़ान की भी मुबारकबाद देता हूं। आज मैं सुंदर नर्सरी आया हूं, तो His Highness प्रिंस करीम आगा ख़ान की भी याद आना मुझे बहुत स्वाभाविक है। सुंदर नर्सरी को सजाने-संवारने में उनका जो योगदान है, वो लाखों कला प्रेमियों के लिए वरदान बन गया है।

साथियों,

गुजरात में सूफी परंपरा का बड़ा सेंटर सरखेज रोज़ा रहा है। वक्त के थपेड़ों में एक समय उसकी हालत काफी खराब हो गई थी। जब मैं मुख्यमंत्री था, तब उसके रिस्टोरेशन पर काफी काम करवाया गया था और बहुत कम लोगों को मालूम होगा, एक जमाना था जहां सरखेज रोज़ा में बड़ी धूमधाम के साथ कृष्ण उत्सव मनाया जाता था और बहुत बड़ी मात्रा में बनाया जाता था और आज भी यहां कृष्ण भक्ति के रंग में हम सब रंग गए थे। मैं सरखेज रोज़ा में होने वाले सालाना सूफी संगीत कार्यक्रम में शिरकत भी औसतन किया करता था। सूफी संगीत एक ऐसी साझी विरासत है, जिसको हम सब मिल जुलकर जीते आए हैं। हम सब ऐसे ही बड़े हुए हैं। अब यहां नजर-ए-कृष्णा की जो प्रस्तुति हुई, उसमें भी हमारी साझी विरासत की झलक दिखाई देती है।

साथियों,

जहान-ए-खुसरो के इस आयोजन में एक अलग खुशबू है। ये खुशबू हिन्‍दुस्‍तान की मिट्टी की है। वो हिन्‍दुस्‍तान जिसकी तुलना हजरत अमीर खुसरो ने जन्नत से की थी। हमारा हिन्‍दुस्‍तान जन्नत का वो बगीचा है, जहां तहजीब का हर रंग फला-फूला है। यहां की मिट्टी के मिजाज में ही कुछ खास है। शायद इसलिए जब सूफी परंपरा हिन्‍दुस्‍तान आई, तो उसे भी लगा जैसे वो अपनी ही जमीन से जुड़ गई हो। यहां बाबा फरीद की रूहानी बातों ने दिलों को सुकून दिया। हजरत निजामुद्दीन की महफिलों ने मोहब्बत के दीये जलाए। हजरत अमीर खुसरो की बोलियों ने नए मोती पिरोए और जो नतीजा निकला, वो हजरत खुसरो की इन मशहूर पंक्तियों में व्यक्त हुआ।

बन के पंछी भए बावरे, बन के पंछी भए बावरे,

ऐसी बीन बजाई सँवारे, तार तार की तान निराली,

झूम रही सब वन की डारी।

भारत में सूफी परंपरा ने अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाई। सूफी संतों ने खुद को महज मस्जिदों या खानकाहों तक सीमित नहीं रखा, उन्होंने पवित्र कुरान के हर्फ पढ़े, तो वेदों के स्‍वर भी सुने। उन्होंने अजान की सदा में भक्ति के गीतों की मिठास जोड़ी और इसलिए उपनिषद जिसे संस्कृत में एकं सत् विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति कहते थे, हजरत निजामुद्दीन औलिया ने वही बात हर कौम रास्त राहे, दीने व किब्‍ला गाहे जैसे सूफी गीत गाकर कही। अलग-अलग भाषा, शैली और शब्द लेकिन संदेश वही, मुझे खुशी है कि आज जहान-ए-खुसरो उसी परंपरा की एक आधुनिक पहचान बन गया है।

साथियों,

किसी भी देश की सभ्यता, उसकी तहजीब को स्वर, उसके गीत, संगीत से मिलती है। उसकी अभिव्यक्ति कला से होती है। हजरत खुसरो कहते थे भारत के इस संगीत में एक सम्‍मोहन है, एक ऐसा सम्मोहन कि जंगल में हिरण अपने जीवन का डर भूलकर स्थिर हो जाते थे। भारतीय संगीत के इस समंदर में सूफी संगीत एक अलग रौ के तौर पर आकर के मिला था और ये समंदर की खूबसूरत लहर बन गया। जब सूफी संगीत और शास्त्रीय संगीत की वो प्राचीन धाराएं एक दूसरे से जुड़ी, तो हमें प्रेम और भक्ति की नई कल-कल सुनने को मिली। यही हमें हजरत खुसरो की कव्वाली में मिली। यहीं हमें बाबा फरीद के दोहे मिले। बुल्ले-शाह के स्वर मिले, मीर के गीत मिले, यहां हमें कबीर भी मिले, रहीम भी मिले और रसखान भी मिले। इन संतों और औलियायों ने भक्‍ति को एक नया आयाम दिया। आप चाहे सूरदास को पढ़ें या रहीम और रसखान को या फिर आप आंख बंद करके हजरत खुसरो को सुने, जब आप गहराई में उतरते हैं, तो उसी एक जगह पहुंचते हैं, ये जगह है अध्‍या‍त्‍मिक प्रेम की वो ऊंचाई जहां इंसानी बंदिशें टूट जाती हैं और इंसान और ईश्वर का मिलन महसूस होता है। आप देखिए, हमारे रसखान मुस्लिम थे, लेकिन वो हरि भक्त थे। रसखान भी कहते हैं- प्रेम हरी को रूप है, त्यों हरि प्रेम स्वरूप। एक होई द्वै यों लसैं, ज्यौं सूरज अरु धूप॥ यानी प्रेम और हरि दोनों वैसे ही एक ही रूप हैं, जैसे सूरज और धूप और यही एहसास तो हजरत खुसरो को भी हुआ था। उन्होंने लिखा था खुसरो दरिया प्रेम का, सो उलटी वा की धार। जो उतरा सो डूब गया, जो डूबा सो पार।। यानी प्रेम में डूबने से ही भेद की बाधाएं पार होती हैं। यहां अभी जो भव्य प्रस्तुति हुई, उसमें भी हमने यही महसूस किया है।

साथियों,

सूफी परंपरा ने न केवल इंसान की रूहानी दूरियों को दूर किया, बल्कि दुनिया की दूरियों को भी कम किया है। मुझे याद है साल 2015 में जब मैं अफगानिस्तान की Parliament में गया था, तो वहां मैंने बड़े भाव भरे शब्दों में रूमी को याद किया था। आठ शताब्दी पहले रूमी वहां के ही बल्ख प्रांत में पैदा हुए थे। मैं रूमी के लिखे का हिंदी का एक तरजुमा जरूर यहां दोहराना चाहूंगा क्योंकि ये शब्द आज भी उतने ही प्रासंगिक है। रूमी ने कहा था, शब्दों को ऊंचाई दें, आवाज को नहीं, क्योंकि फूल बारिश में पैदा होते हैं, तूफान में नहीं।। उनकी एक और बात मुझे याद आती है, मैं थोड़ा देशज शब्दों में कहूं, तो उसका अर्थ है, मैं न पूरब का हूं न पश्चिम का, न मैं समंदर से निकला हूं और न मैं जमीन से आया हूं, मेरी जगह कोई है, है ही नहीं, मैं किसी जगह का नहीं हूं यानी मैं सब जगह हूं। ये विचार, ये दर्शन वसुधैव कुटुंबकम की हमारी भावना से अलग नहीं है। जब मैं दुनिया के विभिन्न देशों में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करता हूं, तो इन विचारों से मुझे ताकत मिलती है। मुझे याद है, जब मैं ईरान गया था, तो ज्वाइंट प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के समय मैंने वहां मिर्जा गालिब का एक शेर पढ़ा था-

जनूनत गरबे, नफ्से-खुद, तमाम अस्त।

ज़े-काशी, पा-बे काशान, नीम गाम अस्त॥

यानी, जब हम जागते हैं तो हमें काशी और काशान की दूरी केवल आधा कदम ही दिखती है। वाकई, आज की दुनिया के लिए, जहां युद्ध मानवता का इतना बड़ा नुकसान कर रहा है, वहां ये संदेश कितने काम आ सकता हैं।

साथियों,

हजरत अमीर खुसरो को ‘तूती-ए हिन्द’ कहा जाता है। भारत की तारीफ़ में, भारत से प्रेम में उन्होंने जो गीत गाये हैं, हिंदुस्तान की महानता और मनमोहकता का जो वर्णन किया है, वो उनकी किताब नुह-सिप्हर में देखने को मिलता है। हजरत खुसरो ने भारत को उस दौर की दुनिया के तमाम बड़े देशों से महान बताया। उन्होंने संस्कृत को दुनिया की सबसे बेहतरीन भाषा बताया। वो भारत के मनीषियों को बड़े-बड़े विद्वानों से भी बड़ा मानते हैं। भारत में शून्य का, गणित, और विज्ञान और दर्शन का ये ज्ञान कैसे बाकी दुनिया तक पहुंचा, कैसे भारत का गणित अरब पहुंचकर वहां पर जाकर के हिंदसा के नाम से जाना गया। हजरत खुसरो न केवल अपनी किताबों में उसका ज़िक्र करते हैं, बल्कि उस पर गर्व भी करते हैं। गुलामी के लंबे कालखंड में जब इतना कुछ तबाह किया गया, अगर आज हम अपने अतीत से परिचित हैं, तो इसमें हजरत खुसरो की रचनाओं की बड़ी भूमिका है।

साथियों,

इस विरासत को हमें निरंतर समृद्ध करते रहना है। मुझे संतोष है, जहान-ए-खुसरो जैसे प्रयास इस दायित्व को बखूबी निभा रहे हैं और अखंड रूप से 25 साल तक ये काम करना, ये छोटी बात नहीं है। मैं मेरे मित्र को बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं। मैं, एक बार फिर आप सभी को इस आयोजन के लिए बधाई देता हूँ। कुछ कठिनाइयों के बीच भी इस समारोह का मजा लेने का कुछ अवसर भी मिल गया, मैं इसके लिए मेरे मित्र का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करता हूं। बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद! बहुत-बहुत शुक्रिया!

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the NXT Conclave in the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi today. Addressing the gathering, he extended his heartfelt congratulations on the auspicious launch of NewsX World. He highlighted that the network includes channels in Hindi, English, and various regional languages, and today, it is going global. He also remarked on the initiation of several fellowships and scholarships, extending his best wishes for these programs.

Remarking that he had attended similar media events in the past, but NewsX World had set a new trend today, Shri Modi extended special congratulations for this achievement. He highlighted that media events of this nature are a tradition in the country, but NewsX World has given it a new dimension. He added that their summit focused on discussion of policies and was policy-centric as compared to politics-centric. He added that this summit had given great importance to discussions and deliberations by many dignitaries from across various fields. He acknowledged that they have worked on an innovative model and expressed hope that other media houses will enrich this trend and template in their own innovative ways.

“The world is keenly watching 21st-century India”, exclaimed the Prime Minister. He said that people from around the globe want to visit and understand India. He emphasized that India is a country where positive news is being created, new records are being set daily, and something new is happening every day. Mentioning the recent completion of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on February 26th, which amazed the world with crores of people bathing in a temporary city along the riverbank, Shri Modi said, “the world is witnessing India’s organizing and innovating skills”. He pointed out that India is manufacturing everything from semiconductors to aircraft carriers and that the world wants to learn about India’s success in detail and expressed that this is a significant opportunity for NewsX World.

Highlighting that a few months ago, India conducted the world’s largest election, Shri Modi said that for the first time in 60 years, a Government in India has returned to power for the third consecutive term. He emphasized that this public trust is based on India’s numerous achievements over the past 11 years. He expressed confidence that the new channel will bring India’s real stories to the world without any bias, showcasing the country as it truly is.

“Few years ago, I had presented the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Local for Global’ to the nation and today, we are seeing this vision turn into reality”, exclaimed the Prime Minister. He emphasized that India’s AYUSH products and yoga have gone from local to global and noted that India’s superfood, makhana, is also gaining global recognition, along with millets, referred to as “Shri Anna.” He mentioned that his friend, Tony Abbott, the former PM of Australia experienced Indian millets firsthand at Delhi Haat and enjoyed the millet dishes, which pleased him.

Stressing that not only millets but also India’s turmeric has gone from local to global, with India supplying over 60 percent of the world’s turmeric, Shri Modi remarked that India’s coffee has also achieved global recognition, making India the seventh-largest coffee exporter in the world. He emphasized that India’s mobile phones, electronic products, and medicines are gaining global recognition. He noted that India is leading several global initiatives. Mentioning the recent opportunity to attend the AI Action Summit in France, where India was the co-host and will now take on the responsibility of hosting it, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s successful G-20 summit during its presidency, where the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor was introduced as a new economic route. He mentioned that India has given a strong voice to the Global South and prioritized the interests of island nations. To address the climate crisis, India has presented the Mission LiFE vision to the world, he added. Shri Modi also mentioned India’s leadership in initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. He expressed his happiness that as many Indian brands are going global, India’s media is also understanding and embracing this global opportunity.

Remarking that for decades, the world referred to India as its back office, the Prime Minister said, “today, India is becoming the new factory of the world”. He emphasized that India is not just a workforce but a world-force and highlighted that the country, which once imported many products, is now emerging as an export hub. He noted that farmers, who were once limited to local markets, are now reaching global markets with their produce. Shri Modi mentioned the increasing global demand for Pulwama’s snow peas, Maharashtra’s Purandar figs, and Kashmir’s cricket bats. He emphasized that India’s defense products showcase the strength of Indian engineering and technology to the world. He pointed out that from electronics to the automobile sector, the world has witnessed India’s scale and capability. “India is not only providing products to the world but is also becoming a trusted and reliable partner in the global supply chain”, he added.

“India’s leadership in various sectors is the result of years of hard work and systematic policy decisions”, said Shri Modi and highlighted the progress made over the past ten years, where incomplete bridges and stalled roads have now transformed into dreams moving forward at a new pace with good roads and excellent expressways. He emphasized that reduced travel time and costs have provided the industry with an opportunity to decrease logistics turnaround time, benefiting the automobile sector significantly. He noted the increased demand for vehicles and the encouragement of EV production, adding that today, India has emerged as a major automobile producer and exporter.

Prime Minister remarked that a similar transformation has been observed in electronics manufacturing. Over the past decade, electricity has reached more than 2.5 crore families for the first time, leading to increased demand and production of electronic equipment, he added. He highlighted that affordable data has boosted the demand for mobile phones, and the increased availability of services on mobile phones has led to higher consumption of digital devices. He mentioned that programs like PLI Schemes have turned this demand into an opportunity, making India a major electronics exporter. Emphasising that India’s ability to set and achieve large targets is rooted in the mantra of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,” which promotes efficient and effective governance without Government interference or pressure, Shri Modi provided an example of how the Government had abolished around 1,500 obsolete laws over the past decade, many of which were enacted during British rule. One such law was the Dramatic Performance Act, which allowed the arrest of people dancing in public places. This law was in effect for 70 years after independence and was abolished by the current Government. The Prime Minister also mentioned the example of bamboo, which is the lifeline of tribal areas and the North East. Previously, cutting bamboo could lead to arrest, as it was classified as a tree. The Government has now changed this decades-old law, recognizing bamboo as grass. He remarked at the silence of previous leaders and the Lutyens’ elite on such outdated laws and emphasized the current Government’s efforts to remove them.

Mentioning that ten years ago, filing an ITR was a difficult task for an ordinary person but today, it can be done in a few moments, and refunds are credited to accounts within days, the Prime Minister highlighted that the process of simplifying income tax laws is ongoing in Parliament. He added that income up to ₹12 lakh has been made tax-free, benefiting the salaried class significantly and emphasized that the budget has helped young professionals fulfill their aspirations and increase their savings. Shri Modi stated that the goal is to provide ease of living, ease of doing business, and open skies for the country’s people and their aspirations. He noted that many startups are benefiting from geospatial data, which previously required government permission to create maps. The government has changed this, allowing startups and private companies to make excellent use of this data, he added.

Highlighting that India, the land that gave the world the concept of zero, is now becoming the land of infinite innovations, the Prime Minister stressed that India was not only innovating but also “Indovating,” meaning innovating the Indian way. He highlighted that India is creating solutions that are affordable, accessible, and adaptable, and offering these solutions to the world without gatekeeping. He mentioned that when the world needed a secure and cost-effective digital payment system, India developed the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) system. Shri Modi said that Professor Carlos Montes was impressed by the people-friendly nature of UPI technology and mentioned that today, countries like France, UAE, and Singapore are integrating UPI into their financial ecosystems. He also mentioned that many countries are signing agreements to connect with India’s digital public infrastructure, India Stack. During the COVID-19 pandemic, India’s vaccine demonstrated the country’s quality healthcare solutions to the world. The Prime Minister highlighted that the Aarogya Setu app was made open source to benefit the world. He emphasized that India is a major space power and is helping other countries achieve their space aspirations. He stated that India is working on AI for public good and sharing its experience and expertise with the world.

Lauding the ITV Network for launching numerous fellowships today, Shri Modi emphasized that the youth of India are the biggest beneficiaries and stakeholders of a developed India, making them a top priority. He highlighted that the National Education Policy has provided children with the opportunity to think beyond textbooks. He added that from middle school, children are learning coding and preparing for fields like AI and data science. Talking about the Atal Tinkering Labs, which are giving children hands-on experience with emerging technologies. He said this year’s budget has announced the creation of 50,000 new Atal Tinkering Labs.

Shri Modi remarked that in the world of news, various agencies’ subscriptions help in better news coverage. Similarly, students in the field of research need access to as many information sources as possible. He added that previously, they had to subscribe to different journals at high costs but the Government had relieved researchers of this concern by introducing the “One Nation, One Subscription” initiative, ensuring free access to renowned journals worldwide for every researcher in the country. The government is set to spend over ₹6,000 crore on this initiative, he said. Emphasising that the Government was ensuring the best research facilities for every student, whether in space exploration, biotech research, or AI, the Prime Minister highlighted that India’s children are emerging as future leaders. Mentioning about the remarkable experiences of Dr. Brian Greene’s meeting with IIT students, and astronaut Mike Massimino’s meeting with Central School students, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that a significant future innovation will come from a small school in India.

Emphasizing that India’s aspiration and direction are to see its flag waving on every global platform, the Prime Minister remarked that this is not the time for small thinking or small steps. He expressed happiness that as a media institution, NewsX World has understood this sentiment. He highlighted that ten years ago, the focus was on reaching different states within the country, but today, the network has taken the bold step of going global. Shri Modi stated that this inspiration and resolve should be present in every citizen and entrepreneur. He shared his vision of seeing an Indian brand in every market, drawing room, and dining table worldwide. He emphasized that “Made in India” should become the world’s mantra. The Prime Minister expressed his dream that people think of “Heal in India” when they are ill, “Wed in India” when they plan a wedding, and prioritize India for travel, conferences, exhibitions, and concerts. He highlighted the importance of fostering this positive attitude and strength within ourselves and acknowledged the significant role of the network and channel in this endeavor. He stated that the possibilities are endless, and it is now up to us to turn them into reality with courage and determination.

“India is moving forward with the resolve to become a developed nation in the next 25 years”, emphasised Shri Modi and concluded by encouraging the ITV network to take a similar resolve to establish itself on the world stage, expressing confidence in their success.

बजट के बाद, बजट से जुड़े वेबिनार में आप सबकी उपस्थिति बहुत अहम है। इस कार्यक्रम से जुड़ने के लिए आप सभी का धन्यवाद।

इस वर्ष का बजट, हमारी सरकार के तीसरे टर्म का पहला पूर्ण बजट था। इस बजट में हमारी नीतियों में निरंतरता दिखी ही है, साथ ही विकसित भारत के विजन में नया विस्तार भी दिखा। बजट से पहले आप सभी स्टेकहोल्डर्स ने जो इनपुट दिए, जो सुझाव दिए, वो बजट बनाते समय बहुत काम आए। अब इस बजट को और ज्यादा प्रभावी रूप से नीचे उतारने में, सही में उसका अच्छे से अच्छा, जल्दी से जल्दी आउटकम मिले, सारे निर्णय-नीतियां प्रभावी बनें, उसमें आप सबकी भूमिका और बढ़ गई है।

साथियों,

विकसित भारत के लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ रहे भारत के संकल्प बहुत स्पष्ट हैं। हम सभी मिलकर एक ऐसे भारत के निर्माण में जुटे हैं, जहां किसान समृद्ध हो, किसान सशक्त हो। हमारा प्रयास है कि कोई किसान पीछे ना छूटे, हर एक किसान को आगे बढ़ाएं। हमने कृषि को विकास का पहला इंजन मानते हुए, अपने अन्नदाताओं को गौरवपूर्ण स्थान दिया है। हम दो बड़े लक्ष्यों की ओर एक साथ बढ़ रहे हैं, पहला- कृषि सेक्टर का विकास और दूसरा- हमारे गांवों की समृद्धि।

साथियों,

पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि योजना, 6 साल पहले लागू की गई थी। इस योजना के तहत अब तक लगभग पौने 4 लाख करोड़ रुपए किसानों को मिल चुके हैं। इतनी राशि करीब-करीब 11 करोड़ किसानों के खाते में सीधे पहुंचाई गई है। 6 हजार रुपए सालाना की इस आर्थिक मदद से ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था सशक्त हो रही है। हमने एक किसान केंद्रित डिजिटल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर तैयार किया है, ताकि देशभर के किसानों तक इस योजना का लाभ पहुंच सके। यानी इसमें किसी बिचौलिए के घुसने या लीकेज की गुंजाइश ही ना रहे, no cut की कंपनी। ये इस बात का उदाहरण है कि अगर आप जैसे एक्सपर्ट और विजनरी लोग, अगर उनका सहयोग होता है तो योजना जल्द से जल्द सफल होती है और ज्यादा अच्छा परिणाम देती है। आपके योगदान से किसी भी योजना को पूरी मजबूती और पारदर्शिता के साथ धरातल पर उतारा जा सकता है। मैं इसके लिए आप सबके सहयोग की और हमेशा सक्रिय सहयोग देने के लिए आपकी सराहना करना चाहूँगा। अब हम इस साल के बजट की घोषणाओं को जमीन पर उतारने के लिए मिलकर के, तेजी से काम करें, ये आवश्यक है। इसमें भी आपका सहयोग पहले की भाती तो मिलेगा ही, लेकिन और ज्यादा मिले, और व्यापक मिले, हर सेक्टर में मिले।

साथियों,

आप अब जानते हैं, आज भारत का कृषि उत्पादन रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर है। 10-11 साल पहले जो कृषि उत्पादन 265 मिलियन टन के करीब था, वो अब बढ़कर 330 मिलियन टन से ज्यादा हो गया है। इसी तरह, बागवानी से जुड़ा उत्पादन बढ़कर 350 मिलियन टन से ज्यादा हो गया है। ये हमारी सरकार के बीज से बाजार तक की अप्रोच का परिणाम है। कृषि सुधार, किसानों का सशक्तिकरण और मजबूत वैल्यू चेन ने इसे संभव बनाया है। अब हमें देश के agricultural potential का पूरा इस्तेमाल करके और भी बड़े targets पाने तक पहुँचना है। इसी दिशा में, हमने बजट में पीएम धन धान्य कृषि योजना का ऐलान किया है, ये मेरे लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण योजना है। इसके तहत देश के 100 सबसे कम कृषि उत्पादकता वाले जिले, low productivity वाले जिलों के विकास पर फोकस किया जाएगा। आप सबने विकास के कई पैरामीटर पर Aspirational District कार्यक्रम से मिले नतीजों को देखा है। इन जिलों को collaboration, governance और healthy competition का, और convergence का बहुत फायदा मिल रहा है। मैं चाहूंगा कि आप सभी ऐसे जिलों से मिले परिणामों का अध्ययन करें और उसकी लर्निंग से सीखते हुए पीएम धन धान्य कृषि योजना को इन 100 जिलों में बहुत तेज गति से आगे बढ़ाएं। इससे इन 100 जिलों में किसानों की आय बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी।

साथियों,

पिछले कुछ वर्षों में हमारे प्रयासों से देश में दाल का उत्पादन बढ़ा है, और इसके लिए मैं किसानों का अभिनंदन भी करता हूं। लेकिन, अभी भी हमारी घरेलू खपत का 20 प्रतिशत विदेशों पर निर्भर है, आयात पर निर्भर है। यानि हमें अपने दलहन उत्पादन को बढ़ाना ही होगा। हमने चने और मूंग में आत्मनिर्भरता हासिल कर ली है। लेकिन हमें तुअर, उड़द और मसूर के उत्पादन को बढ़ाने के लिए और तेजी से ज्यादा काम करना ही है। दाल उत्पादन को गति देने के लिए आवश्यक है कि उन्नत बीजों की सप्लाई बनी रहे, और हाइब्रिड किस्मों को बढ़ावा दिया जाए। इसके लिए आप सभी को जलवायु परिवर्तन, बाजार की अनिश्चितता, और दाम में आने वाले उतार-चढ़ाव जैसी चुनौतियों के समाधान पर फोकस करना होगा।

साथियों,

पिछले दशक में, ICAR ने Breeding program में modern tools और cutting-edge technologies का इस्तेमाल किया। इससे 2014 से 2024 के बीच अनाज, तिलहन, दालें, चारा, गन्ना, विभिन्न फसलों में 2900 से अधिक नई किस्मों का विकास हुआ। आपको ये सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि हमारे देश के किसानों को ये नई वैरायटीज सस्ती दर पर मिलती रहे। हमें ये भी सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि किसानों की उपज मौसम के उतार-चढ़ाव से प्रभावित ना हो। आप जानते हैं कि बजट में इस बार अधिक उपज वाले बीजों के लिए राष्ट्रीय मिशन शुरू करने की घोषणा हुई है। इस कार्यक्रम में अभी जो प्राइवेट सेक्टर के लोग हैं, उन्हें मैं विशेष तौर पर कहूंगा कि इन बीजों के प्रसार पर जरूर फोकस करें। ये बीज, छोटे किसानों तक पहुंचने लगें, इसके लिए इन्हें seed chain का हिस्सा बनाना होगा, और यह काम हमारा है कि हम कैसे बने।

साथियों,

आप सब देख रहे हैं, आज लोगों में पोषण को लेकर काफी जागरूकता बढ़ी है। इसलिए, बागवानी, डेयरी और फिशरी प्रोडक्ट्स की बढ़ती मांग को देखते हुए इन सेक्टर्स में काफी इंवेस्टमेंट किया गया है। फल और सब्जियों का उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए अनेक कार्यक्रम चलाये जा रहे हैं। बिहार में मखाना बोर्ड के गठन की घोषणा भी की गई है। मेरा आग्रह है कि आप सभी स्टेकहोल्डर्स, diverse nutritional foods के प्रसार के लिए नए रास्ते तलाश करें। ऐसे पोषण युक्त खाद्य पदार्थों की पहुंच देश के कोने-कोने में और ग्लोबल मार्केट तक होनी चाहिए।

साथियों,

2019 में हमने पीएम मत्स्य संपदा योजना को लॉन्च किया था। इस सेक्टर के वैल्यू चेन को मजबूत बनाने, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर तैयार करने और इसे आधुनिक बनाने की दिशा में ये एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम था। इससे मछली पालन के क्षेत्र में production, productivity और post-harvest management बेहतर करने में मदद मिली। बीते वर्षों में, कई योजनाओं के माध्यम से इस सेक्टर में निवेश भी बढ़ाया गया, जिसके परिणाम आज हमारे सामने हैं। आज फिश प्रोडक्शन दोगुना हो चुका है, हमारा निर्यात भी दोगुना हो चुका है। हमारा प्रयास है कि Indian Exclusive Economic Zone और खुले समुद्र से सस्टेनेबल मछली पालन को बढ़ावा मिले। इसके लिए एक कार्य योजना तैयार की जाएगी। मैं चाहूंगा, आप सभी इस सेक्टर में Ease of Doing Business को बढ़ावा देने वाले आइडियाज पर मंथन करें, और उस पर जल्द से जल्द काम शुरू करें। इसके साथ ही हमें अपने पारंपरिक मछुआरे साथियों के हितों की रक्षा भी सुनिश्चित करनी होगी।

साथियों,

हमारी सरकार ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था को समृद्ध बनाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। पीएम आवास योजना-ग्रामीण, इसके तहत करोड़ों गरीबों को घर दिया जा रहा है, स्वामित्व योजना से संपत्ति मालिकों को ‘Record of Rights’ मिला है। हमने सेल्फ हेल्प ग्रुप्स की आर्थिक ताकत बढाई है, उनको मदद बढ़ाई है। प्रधानमंत्री ग्राम सड़क योजना से छोटे किसानों और कारोबारियों को फायदा हुआ है। हमने 3 करोड़ लखपति दीदी बनाने का लक्ष्य रखा है। हमारे प्रयासों से सवा करोड़ से ज्यादा बहनें लखपति दीदी बन चुकी हैं। इस बजट में ग्रामीण समृद्धि और विकास के कार्यक्रमों के ऐलान से रोजगार के अनेक नए अवसरों की संभावना बनी है। स्किलिंग और टेक्नोलॉजी में निवेश से नए मौके बन रहे हैं। आप सभी इन विषयों पर जरूर चर्चा करें कि कैसे अभी चल रही योजनाओं को और प्रभावी बनाया जाए। इस दिशा में आपके सुझाव और योगदान, इससे सकारात्मक परिणाम जरूर मिलेंगे। हम सभी की सक्रिय भागीदारी से ही, गांव सशक्त होंगे, ग्रामीण परिवार सशक्त होंगे। और मुझे विश्वास है कि ये वेबिनार सच्चे अर्थ में, जल्द से जल्द, कम से कम समय में, अच्छे से अच्छे ढंग से, बजट को क्रियान्वित करने का और वो भी आप सबके सहयोग और सुझाव से करने का, अब ऐसा ना हो कि इस वेबिनार में बजट नया बनाने की चर्चा हो। अब ये बजट बन चुका है, अब ये योजना आ चुकी है। अब हमारा सारा फोकस एक्शन पर होना चाहिए। एक्शन के अंदर कठिनाइयां क्या हैं, कमियां क्या हैं, किस प्रकार के बदलाव की जरूरत है, उस पर जरूर हम ध्यान दें। तब तो जाकर के ये वेबिनार परिणामकारी होगा। अन्यथा हम एक साल के बाद जो बजट आने वाला है, उसकी चर्चा आज कर लेंगे, तो अभी जो हुआ है, उसका फायदा नहीं मिलेगा। और इसलिए मेरा आप सबसे आग्रह है कि हम जो बजट आया है, अब उसी बजट से हमने एक साल में लक्ष्य हासिल करने हैं, और उसमें सरकार अकेली नहीं, इस क्षेत्र के सभी स्टेकहोल्डर्स, एक दिशा में, एक मत के साथ, एक लक्ष्य के साथ, चल पड़े। यही एक अपेक्षा के साथ आप सबका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद।
